Parkour/Freerunning
I have been practicing Parkour/Freerunning for a couple of months now, and it has become one of my favorite ways to exercise. I tried it once out of curiosity and i noticed i got hooked on it right away,” what have i done now?” i thought to myself (lol).Parkour is usually done in an urban enviroment, but can also be done in nature. Parkour is the art of moving from one place to another in the most efficient way possible (like a ninja escaping). I have also heard it being used in military training. Freerunning is very similar but there is no moving from a-b, it literally means doing what you want, you could move around on a fence for as long as you want.
This is a good full body workout as you climb, jump, run, move in a flexible manner (see jackie chan), its free and you get outside in the open air. By incorporating 20 seconds sprints you train cardio and stimulate the growth hormones. It is exiting and (meditative) as it requires your attention. Parkour also trains your creative abilities as you need to find ways to move when faced with an obstacle.
i' m also curious about the spirituality of free-running, as when you get very happy you feel like you just want to run =)
so try it out you might get hooked as well ;)
